My name is Rachelle and writing is part of what I do for a living. I work for a Philippine government agency whose scope of work covers communications, media, and information. Communications is what I’m good at, but a huge part of me wishes I’m just as good at cooking. I love to eat, but I cannot cook if my life depended on it. I have found several ways how not to fry eggs.
I’d rather be funny than pretty (I’m neither), or filthy rich than married (again, zilch in both departments). If I can’t have the (perfect) man, then I’d rather have the perfect bank account. Or should it be the other way around?
I love to read books, draw, dance, sing karaoke, travel, and watch horror movies, the kind that lingers on, making it hard to sleep at night. I love gadgets, too; they are the shiny objects that easily distract me. Spicy foods, burritos, and coffee make my world go round. And bacon. I would marry bacon if I could.
I’ve been raised alongside dogs and cats by the best parents in the world. I’m curly and curvy (proud about it, too). I don’t cuss, and in this blog I don’t talk politics (too much of that at work already).
I am my own woman. I earn money. I have a brain and I use it. And I am also perfectly aware how that can be a recipe for disaster and yes, spinsterhood.
