Welcome to Chellelandia.

Goodbye, Nike

We had to put down our dog, Nike, today. It’s been tough for my parents and I to reach this decision but we know that it needs to be done. He’s 18 years old and has been suffering from various ailments that come with aging canines. We’ve been holding on to him for this long for selfish reasons. He needs to rest now and somewhere in the Rainbow Bridge we know he’ll be chasing butterflies.

Letting go of what has brought you happiness for so long is easier said than done. If only it can be done so simply, like the act of cutting a string. But it’s not.

I’m walking around today with a bleeding heart.
